A concussion is a brain injury. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) estimates that 1.6 - 3.2 million concussions occur yearly in sports and other recreational activities. A concussion can happen in any sport, and it is important to quickly recognize and treat the injury. Unfortunately, this does not always occur, and athletes are at risk for complications.

OSU Sports Medicine's Concussion Program is dedicated to a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to the evaluation and management of concussions. We use cutting-edge research and a wealth of clinical experience to identify and treat concussions, getting athletes back to normal life and sport as quickly (and safely) as possible.
