At OSU Sports Medicine our faculty, services and clinical programs provide educational support and learning opportunities to future professionals in our community and nationally. With contracts to schools, athletic teams and various businesses, we help provide medical coverage and evidenced-based care not only to share our knowledge and challenge ourselves but so that the community overall can benefit from our quality of treatment.
Athletic trainers at OSU Sports Medicine serve in many capacities, including coordinating physician clinics, assisting in physical therapy and rehabilitation and providing coverage for athletic events.
They are involved in educating coaches, athletes and health care professionals. Outreach coverage includes providing onsite care to athletes at Columbus State Community College and Columbus City Schools, Ohio Premier Eagles Soccer Club, OSU club sports, the OSU Dance Department and BalletMet.
