OSU Sports Medicine Center has established a Sports Concussion Program which offers a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary approach to the evaluation and management of concussions, and returning athletes to activity. According to the Centers for Disease Control, nationwide several hundred thousand people suffer sports related concussions.
Our team includes physicians, neuropsychologists, and certified athletic trainers who have years of experience working with high school, college, and professional athletes. Our program also incorporates the use of computerized neuropsychological assessment as part of the management and return to play process.
The Sports Concussion Program team offers evaluation and management of athletes who experience concussions as well as consultation to team physicians, athletic trainers, and other professionals who are involved in the management of sports related concussions.
